In 2024, with the strong direction and attention of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province, the District Party Committee and the District People's Council, the People's Committee of Mai Chau district has been proactive and flexible in implementing the proposed solutions for direction and management. Party committees, authorities and organizations at all levels focused on leadership and direction, along with the determination and consensus of the business community and people of all ethnic groups in the district, the socio-economic situation of the district continued to be stable and growing.
Accordingly, the total production value (current price) is estimated at VND 5,189.3 billion, equal to 100.04% of the plan and 117.97% over the same period in 2023.
Of which, the value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production was 1,452.3 billion VND, equal to 100.71% of the plan and 111.54% over the same period, accounting for 27.99%; the value of industrial, construction and handicraft production was 1,817 billion VND, equal to 99.84% of the plan and 120.09% over the same period, accounting for 35.01%; the value of commercial, tourism and service production was 1,920 billion VND, equal to 99.74% of the plan and 121.21% over the same period, accounting for 37.00%.
During the year, Mai Chau district created new jobs: 2,157 workers were employed, reaching 215.7% of the plan. The poverty rate decreased by 3.78%; the rate of households using national grid electricity was estimated at 99.9%; the rate of people participating in health insurance was 95.07%; the rate of universal education was maintained at 100%...
Regarding site clearance, investment attraction and collective economic development, from the beginning of the year, the District People's Committee organized the Spring Meeting Conference of Giap Thin Year 2024 between local Party committees and authorities with enterprises, investors and cooperatives in the district, with the aim of creating conditions and opportunities for meetings between leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, District People's Committee with enterprises, investors and cooperatives in the district, to encourage and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles.
Create a favorable production and business environment for enterprises and investors, thereby contributing to improving the provincial competitiveness index (PCI) in general and promoting administrative procedure reform, improving the efficiency and quality of district competitiveness index (DDCI) in particular.
