Brigade 950, Military Region 9 has just coordinated with the Department of Culture and Social Affairs of Phu Quoc Special Zone (An Giang) to organize the handover of 1 house of gratitude to policy families and 2 comrade houses to military families with difficult housing circumstances.
This is an activity to repay gratitude and support the military policy of the 950 Brigade, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
The house of gratitude was handed over to the family of Ms. Dang Thi Lam, 61 years old, residing in Suoi Lon quarter, Phu Quoc special zone, whose father was a martyr who died in the resistance war against the US to save the country.
The two company houses were handed over to Captain Tran Gia Phi and Captain Pham Ba Luc, who are working at Brigade 950. The total cost of Military Region 9 supported the construction of 3 houses with 200 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family.
The previous houses of the families have degraded and leaked during the rainy season, but there are no conditions to rebuild them. In that situation, the unit has proposed and coordinated with local authorities to support the construction so that they have a spacious place to live and stabilize their lives.
