Border guards mobilize funds to build houses of gratitude for poor households on the Vietnam - Laos border

Quang Tri - Huong Lap Border Guard Station coordinates to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of many gratitude houses for households in difficult circumstances on both sides of the border.

On June 18, Huong Lap Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard) said that the unit had just coordinated with the People's Committee of Huong Lap commune and the government of La Co hamlet (Laos) to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the "Vietnam - Laos Border Affection" house for poor households.

This meaningful program is implemented to implement the policy of strengthening the special friendship and solidarity relationship between the two countries, promoting people-to-people diplomacy activities, and supporting people in border areas to develop socio-economy.

To have resources for deployment, Huong Lap Border Guard Station has actively connected and mobilized organizations, individuals and philanthropists to join hands to support. In which, the program has received special financial attention and support from Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh - Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In Laos, the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of gratitude houses for the households of Mr. Nuoi Chan, Mr. Ho Van Ai and Ms. Nang So took place at 9:00 am on June 18th in A Via village (La Co village cluster, Se Pon district, Savannakhet province).

The groundbreaking ceremony took place in a friendly atmosphere with the participation of border protection forces, the village government and a large number of people from neighboring countries.

At the same time, in Huong Lap commune (Quang Tri province), Huong Lap Border Guard Station and local Party committees and authorities also organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of houses for the household of Mr. Ho Van Giang (residing in Se Pu - Ta Pang village) and the household of Mr. Ho Van Dinh (residing in Ka Tieng village).

The implementation of building gratitude shelters on both sides of the border not only helps particularly difficult households have stable accommodation and rise up in life, but is also a vivid symbol of fostering the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos. Thereby, further strengthening the bond between the government, people and border protection forces, joining hands to build a border of peace, friendship and sustainable development.
