Gong performance, wine opening ceremony to welcome... tourists

Dak Lak – Watching gong performances, immersing yourself in xoang dances, enjoying rice wine… are experiences that tourists enjoy when visiting Dak Lak during spring.

In the early days of spring, crowds of people flock to KoTam Community Cultural Ecotourism Area located in Buon Ma Thuot city (Dak Lak).

Here, visitors can watch gong performers, dance xoang and enjoy rice wine.

These activities are carried out in a traditional Ede long house with a warm fire.

Many visitors were delighted to see gong performers performing for the first time in the long house. The warmth from the fire and the smell of smoke helped visitors fully feel the cozy atmosphere of Tet.

In addition to enjoying gong performances, visitors can also learn more about the culture of the Ede people through the wine opening ceremony.

In the Ede community, women play an important role. Therefore, in the wine opening ceremony, women are invited to open the wine first.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Van, from Ho Chi Minh City, shared her joy at experiencing the Central Highlands gong culture on the first day of spring.

Among them, Ms. Van was very impressed with the wine opening ceremony and the graceful xoang dance. For her, this was a meaningful experience during the Lunar New Year of At Ty.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Dang from Dong Nai also shared his wonderful experiences at KoTam Community Cultural Ecotourism Area.

He was immersed in beautiful nature and saw the traditional long house.

In particular, he experienced the graceful, rhythmic xoang dance and the unique sound of gongs. He also enjoyed traditional dishes such as grilled meat, bamboo rice...

Ms. H Drim Ayun - an employee of KoTam Community Cultural Ecotourism Area said that during Tet holidays, there are many activities for visitors to experience at the tourist area.

In particular, at the long house of the tourist area, there are gong performances, xoang dance exchanges, drinking rice wine...

These activities help visitors deeply experience the culture of the Central Highlands. The tourist area also has fun activities with prizes to give visitors memorable memories.
