HUE - Hue City Border Guard opens Pa Co - Ta Oi language class to improve capacity and stay connected with the people of A Luoi border.

On May 31, in A Luoi district, the Hue City Border Guard Command coordinated with the A Luoi District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center to organize the opening of the Pa Co - Ta Oi ethnic minority language training class in 2025.

The class took place over a month, with the participation of officers and professional soldiers working at border posts on the Vietnam - Laos border. The learning content includes: knowledge of Absional language, words, grammar; listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Pa Co - Ta Oi; learning about the culture, customs, and life of ethnic minorities in A Luoi.

Students will also have the opportunity to go on field trips and have direct dialogues with people to improve their ability to use local languages in practical work.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Dang Ngoc Hieu - Deputy Political Commissar of the Hue City Border Guard affirmed: "Masterizing the national language is the key for officers and soldiers to stick close to the grassroots, effectively carry out the task of protecting sovereignty and border security associated with socio-economic development and preserving the cultural identity of ethnic minorities".

The class is a practical activity to improve professional capacity, contributing to building a solid position of people's hearts in the border area.
