On December 10, the Border Guard Command (BDBP) of Hue City launched a peak emulation campaign to fight against crime prevention and control; drug prevention and control; prevent human trafficking; combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2026.
The emulation period focuses on maintaining and expanding the effectiveness of hotlines and police boxes reporting crimes; strengthening patrols and controlling borders and coastal areas, especially key routes and areas; combining regular patrols with surprise, ambush, and checkpoints.
Hue City Border Guard reviews and implements specialized projects, focusing on fighting to dismantle large, transnational drug trafficking and transportation rings; eliminate drug trafficking hotspots; prevent hot spots from arising in border areas.
Units strengthen coordination with customs, police, Coast Guard, market management and forest rangers in exchanging information, patrolling, blocking smuggling routes; controlling suspicious vehicles; preventing the exploitation of e-commerce and express delivery to violate the law. The focus is on prohibited items, goods of unknown origin such as minerals, gasoline, fireworks, electronic components, forest products, gold, silver, foreign currency, pharmaceuticals, sugar, cigarettes, beer, cosmetics, consumer goods for Tet, livestock, poultry and wild animals.
The emulation period aims to promote officers and soldiers to raise their sense of responsibility, solidarity, and complete their tasks well, contributing to maintaining sovereignty, border security and social order and safety.
On this occasion, authorized by the Ministry of National Defense and the Border Guard Command, the Hue City Border Guard Command awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual; awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 8 individuals; and presented gifts to support officers and soldiers affected by floods. On the same day, the unit announced the decision to regularly increase salaries, raise salaries ahead of schedule and promote military ranks for 85 professional soldiers in 2025.
