On August 27, in the border commune of Quang Truc, Regiment 726, Army Corps 16 held a ceremony to hand over funds to support the construction of a "Comrades' House" in 2025 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. Colonel Doan Ngoc Qua, member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Commander of the Corps attended and presented funds to the families.
The program was also attended by cadres of a number of Corps agencies, leaders and commanders of Regiment 726 and 10 households who were awarded funds to support the construction of the "Comrades' House".
Accordingly, the unit has donated construction support funds to households in difficult circumstances. The total support budget is 600 million VND, drawn from the Ministry of National Defense's budget. In addition, the families also received material and human resources support from officers, soldiers, and employees of Regiment 726 during the house construction process.
At the handover ceremony of support funds, Colonel Doan Ngoc Qua, Deputy Commander of the Corps, emphasized: Supporting the construction of the Comrades House is a major policy of the Party, State and army, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love, comradeship, and comradeship and the tradition and good qualities of Uncle Hos soldiers. The program also demonstrated the concern of the Standing Committee - Party Committee of the Corps Command, the Mobilization Committee of the "For the Poor" Fund of the Corps and the Party Committee, Commander of the Corps for cadres, employees, and workers.
This help is not only from the Regiment, the Army Corps, the Ministry of National Defense, but also from relatives, friends, comrades, and neighbors. Also on the same day, Regiment 726 coordinated with the People's Committees of Quang Truc and Tuy Duc communes to organize a meeting and hand over support funds for the 2025-2026 school year, giving to students under the Project "Army officers and soldiers to help children go to school".
At the program, representatives of the leaders of the Corps and Regiment presented support funds to 32 students. Of which, the family's adoption budget is 2.3 million VND/child/month, the child support budget is 1.1 million VND/child/month. The total cost of support and adoption is 335.8 million VND.
32 students were supported and adopted as ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances with good academic achievements in Quang Truc and Tuy Duc communes.
