On the afternoon of February 3, the Border Guard Command (BĐBP) of Can Tho City, Vinh Long and Ca Mau provinces organized a conference to summarize the coordination plan in border management and protection in adjacent areas in 2025.

Reporting at the conference, in 2025, the situation of territorial sovereignty and national border security in the border area between Can Tho City Border Guard, Vinh Long province and Ca Mau was basically stable; no activities violating national border sovereignty and security were detected. People, vehicles, and goods entering and leaving the border area generally strictly comply with the Party's guidelines, policies, laws of the State and local regulations. Units maintained the effectiveness of coordination and coordination mechanisms, promptly exchanged information, and handled arising situations, not allowing the formation of "hot spots".
In the year, the units arrested and handled 46 cases/86 subjects; including 2 cases/2 subjects related to drug crimes; 1 special case of human trafficking under 16 years old, rescuing 1 victim, arresting 4 subjects; 43 cases/80 other law-breaking subjects, with a total amount of administrative fines of over 500 million VND. In addition, the units also coordinated to participate in successful rescue and relief of 3 cases/3 vehicles/18 crew members.
3 units have coordinated to organize 21 mobile patrols and inspections in the adjacent area, with 168 turns of officers and soldiers participating; strictly maintain administrative management and border control, promptly detect and prevent violations in the fields of fisheries, waterway traffic, illegal mineral exploitation and transportation, contributing to maintaining security and order, safety in the border sea area.
During the year, the units organized 200 propaganda sessions, attracting more than 26,000 participants, focusing on disseminating the Vietnam Border Guard Law, Vietnam Law of the Sea, regulations on fishing, combating IUU fishing, crime prevention and control, ensuring safety at sea and preventing and avoiding natural disasters. Distributed nearly 10,000 leaflets and 5,000 national flags to fishermen, contributing to raising people's awareness and responsibility in participating in protecting national sovereignty and border security.
