Coast Guard 4 organizes many activities to care for Tet, connecting soldiers and civilians

An Giang - Coast Guard Region 4 Command affirmed its role and responsibility in social security work; contributing to building a solid people's hearts posture.

In the joyful atmosphere of welcoming the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, in Phu Quoc Special Zone, An Giang province, the Command (BTL) of Coast Guard Region 4 organized practical and meaningful activities to contribute to caring for the material and spiritual lives of policy families, poor households and people in difficult circumstances in the area. Thereby contributing to widely spreading the military-civilian affection in the frontline island of the Fatherland.

Coast Guard Region 4 Command organized visits, gifts and Tet greetings to 42 families and households in difficult circumstances in Phu Quoc special zone, each gift worth 1 million VND. These meaningful gifts show the feelings, responsibility and deep sharing of officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Coast Guard Force in general, Coast Guard Region 4 Command in particular, contributing to encouraging and accompanying people to celebrate Tet, helping families overcome difficulties when Tet comes and Spring returns.

Colonel Nguyen Thai Duong - Deputy Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 4 Command said: "Being able to directly visit, encourage and give Tet gifts to the people of Phu Quoc special zone is the joy and also the responsibility of officers and soldiers of Coast Guard Region 4 Command with the spirit of "leaving no one behind", "leaving no one without Tet". Coast Guard Region 4 Command has been and is trying its best in the unit's conditions to contribute to the locality to do well in social security work, taking care of Tet for the people, especially policy families and families in difficult circumstances in the area".

Along with that, Coast Guard Region 4 Command actively participated in the "0-dong Tet Market" Program organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone. The program has profound humanistic meaning, promoting the tradition of "mutual affection" of the nation, contributing to the effective implementation of social security work, taking care of the lives of families in difficult circumstances.

At the program, officials and members of the Women's Union of the Staff Department, Coast Guard Region 4 Command actively coordinated to prepare gifts and essential items to serve the Tet living needs of the people. Items include rice, noodles, fish sauce, cooking oil, spices, cakes, soft drinks, tea... ensuring practicality, suitable to actual needs, contributing to helping people reduce difficulties and have more conditions to celebrate the traditional Tet in a joyful and warm atmosphere.

Coast Guard Region 4 Command has awarded 20 "0-dong market trip" tickets, each worth 500,000 VND, to households in difficult circumstances, policy families, unemployed workers, elderly people living alone, people with disabilities, women and children in particularly difficult circumstances in Phu Quoc special zone. The gifts, although simple, contain sincere feelings, concern, companionship and responsibility of Vietnam Coast Guard officers and soldiers towards the People.

Ms. Vo Thi Kiet, Suoi Lon Duong To neighborhood, Phu Quoc special zone, expressed her emotion when Tet holidays and Spring always receive timely attention and sharing from the unit. "We are very touched to be cared for and cared for, these gifts help us have a warmer and more fulfilling Tet.

In parallel with effectively deploying social security activities in the area, Coast Guard Region 4 Command has been and is doing well in all preparations to welcome the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 for soldiers. The unit organizes general cleaning of barracks, decorating panels, posters, creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere throughout the Region Command, contributing to ensuring that officers and soldiers celebrate the traditional Tet warmly and joyfully.
