With the desire to share love and create a warm Mid-Autumn Festival for children, especially those in difficult circumstances, Linh Quang Pagoda has given 1,000 meaningful gifts to the children.
Vang A Son, a 4th grader at the Dien Bien Province Social Protection Center, said: “I am very happy to receive Mid-Autumn gifts at the pagoda with my friends. This is the first time I have participated in such a meaningful program.”
Ms. Lo Thi Tuyen - Dien Bien Province Social Protection Center also said that receiving Mid-Autumn gifts at the pagoda was a great joy for 67 students of the center. The gifts not only brought joy to the children but also were a great source of encouragement for them to overcome difficulties.

According to Venerable Thich Nhuan Thanh - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dien Bien province, this year the Mid-Autumn Festival will be held early on the 13th day of the 8th lunar month (ie September 15th of the solar calendar).
“Due to the severe damage caused by storms and floods in the North, the Executive Committee of the Buddhist Sangha of Dien Bien province decided not to organize any cultural activities but to focus on giving gifts to children in difficult circumstances,” said Venerable Thich Nhuan Thanh.
Accordingly, each gift includes: candy, notebooks... as a word of encouragement for the children to study well. In addition to the 1,000 gifts given at Linh Quang Pagoda, there are 1,000 other gifts that will be sent to disadvantaged students in the province. The total value of 2,000 gifts is 60 million VND.
