On September 5, leaders of Dak Sak Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) said that the locality has been and is mobilizing military and police forces to focus on supporting small traders at Dak Sak market to overcome the consequences of the market fire that occurred 4 days ago.
Local forces have supported people to relocate property, clean up the scene, sanitize the burned area and repair the remaining parts of the kiosks.
During the support process, officers and soldiers of Dak Sak Commune Police and militia forces actively coordinated with people, helping business households gradually overcome damage and soon stabilize operations.
This activity demonstrates the spirit of responsibility and sharing of the armed forces with the people when facing difficulties; and at the same time contributes to strengthening the bond between soldiers and people in the area.
The fire occurred at about 10:40 PM on August 31, starting from a kiosk and quickly spreading to many adjacent stalls. People and small traders tried to put out the fire but failed.
Dak Sak Commune People's Committee quickly mobilized forces to coordinate with Fire and Rescue Team Area 14 to the scene to deploy firefighting.
At about 0:10 on September 1, the fire was basically controlled, preventing the fire from continuing to spread.
The fire did not cause any casualties but burned down goods and property inside 16 kiosks of 9 business households. Initial estimated damage is more than 4 billion VND.
After the fire, the police and military forces continued to coordinate with the government and people to clear the scene, relocate the remaining property and clean up the affected area.
The timely support of the armed forces contributed to helping households overcome the consequences, gradually stabilizing their lives and business operations after the fire.
