Hung Yen - From 34 voluntary blood donation certificates, Captain Do Anh Vu arranged them into the national flag and the number "80", spreading the message of compassion.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 (1945 - 2025), Captain Do Anh Vu - Officer of the Internal Security Department, Hung Yen Provincial Police did a special job. That is the appearance of the national flag and the number "80" from 34 of my own Voluntary Blood Donation Certificates.

In the atmosphere of the whole country competing to celebrate the big holiday, all over the streets, the red and yellow star colors flew brilliantly. Sharing that pride, Captain Vu came up with a unique idea: arranging the Blood Donation Certificates into the shape of the national flag and the number 80, symbolizing the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. This action not only shows patriotism and national pride but also spreads a humane message about the act of donating blood to save lives.

Recognizing the noble significance of voluntary blood donation, from the time he was still in school, Captain Vu actively participated in blood donation movements launched by the Ministry of Public Security and mass organizations. From 2008 to present, he has donated whole blood 36 times, including 2 times directly to patients when the hospital had anemia and no family members with a blood type. In addition, he also registered to donate his organs at the National Coordination Center and Voluntary Donation at Hanoi Medical University.

Not only exemplary in blood donation, Captain Vu also actively encourages colleagues, relatives, and friends to participate. He always believes that each drop of blood given is a life left behind, and will continue to accompany humanitarian movements, upholding the spirit of "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people" of the People's Public Security soldier.

With his meaningful contributions, Captain Vu was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (2014), a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Party Executive Committee 2015 and a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation (2017).

The creation of the "Fatherland Flag" from 34 Blood Donation Certificates is not only a creative work but also a symbol of patriotism, compassion and social responsibility of every Vietnamese citizen.
