According to Lao Dong on November 21 and 22, the Kim Thanh border gate area (Lao Cai ward) is always crowded with people and tourists.
Each group of families, young people, and the elderly move between subdivisions to explore hundreds of booths from many localities in Vietnam and China.

Food areas, clothes, agricultural products and technology are attractions that attract a large number of visitors. The invitation, exchange and purchase blend with the background music sound to create a bustling atmosphere, typical of the largest fair in the border area.
Present at the fair, Mr. Nguyen Duc Duong (Cam Duong ward) excitedly shared - the atmosphere here is "more" than he thought.
"The economy is very rich, from regional specialties, handicrafts to green technology products. Going around feels like entering a vivid picture of the Vietnamese economy, said Mr. Duong.

What impressed Mr. Duong the most was the methodical arrangement of the booth, each area has its own color.
"I especially like technology parks and agricultural products. Not only was I able to buy quality OCOP products from many provinces, I also learned new production models and startup ideas that businesses brought to the fair. Shopping is both open to knowledge, Mr. Duong shared.
Also present early, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang (Lao Cai ward) went with his whole family. He said that the Vietnam-China fair for his family is both a shopping opportunity and an interesting cultural experience.
"There are many products for daily life that my family is looking for. My most paying attention is OCOP items such as honey, wine, and agricultural products. Going around and seeing all kinds of delicious and strange things from everywhere" - Mr. Thang added.

Not only the agricultural area, the food area is also bustling since early afternoon. The smell of grilled meat, Chinese sausages, and cakes blends with the chilly air of the border, causing many people to stand longer to enjoy.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sinh, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, the Viet'Chang Fair is a national-level trade promotion event, held alternately between Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China). After 24 times of organization, the event has become a prestigious brand, an important trading connection platform between the two sides.
The 25th fair has the theme "Lao Cai - Connection and Development", taking place at a meaningful time when Vietnam - China has just celebrated the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. This is also an event to successfully celebrate the Annual Conference between the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of Lai Chau, Lao Cai, Tuyen Quang, and Dien Bien provinces.

The organizers said that the number of visitors to the fair increases every day, especially experiential spaces such as AI technology parks, online sales Megalive areas or trade-connected exhibition areas are highlights attracting young people and businesses.
With a scale of nearly 700 booths and many trade and cultural activities, the 25th Vietnam-China Fair is expected to create more momentum for border trade activities in Lao Cai, while bringing a unique, bustling and experiential festival season to the people.
