In the 2024 - 2025 school year, the whole province of Ca Mau has 218 kindergartens with more than 2,100 groups and classes. The preschool education sector has mobilized over 56,000 children to go to school, of which nearly 100% of 5-year-old preschool children study 2 sessions/day, completing the preschool education program according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
The rate of mobilizing ethnic minority preschool children to class also reached over 93%, contributing to maintaining the achievement of universal preschool education for 5-year-old children in the province.
Last school year, 100% of preschool children were regularly monitored for their health; the rate of malnutrition was low (overweight - obese about 2.6%), reflecting the effectiveness of nutrition and care.

Facilities continue to be invested in, nearly 85% of schools meet national standards, 100% complete self-assessment of quality; the team of teachers and managers are regularly trained.
The programs "I love Vietnam", English acquisition, integration education... have been replicated, contributing to creating a diverse learning environment, promoting comprehensive development for children.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nguyen - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau province - said that preschool education is the foundation for the sustainable development of the entire education system. To achieve the goal of "Children today - the world of tomorrow", educational institutions need to continue to innovate methods, focus on health care, safety, nutrition, as well as build a friendly, positive learning environment, suitable for local and young people's actual conditions.
In the 2025-2026 school year with the theme "Active - Creative - Responsible - Safe - Effective", Ca Mau preschool education focuses on maintaining and improving the quality of universal care for 5-year-old children, expanding the mobilization of young children to class, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas; ensuring physical and mental safety and improving the quality of nutrition and care.
The team is trained in capacity, ethics, pedagogical skills, and anti-violence; educational institutions are encouraged to build a friendly and safe environment, towards "Happy kindergartens". The industry strengthens inspection of boarding houses, school meals, school hygiene, prevention of poisoning, accidents and epidemics, ensuring absolute safety for children.
