On January 7 and 8, in Huong Viet commune (Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province), Huong Lap Border Post (Quang Tri Border Guard) organized the program "Border Spring warms the hearts of the villagers".

At the program, more than 500 gifts (banh chung and necessities) were given to policy households and families with especially difficult circumstances in Huong Viet and Huong Lap communes (Huong Hoa district) and 3 twin villages on both sides of the border of Laos, worth over 250 million VND. 2 tons of rice were given to people in Huong Viet and Huong Lap communes, worth 32 million VND. 2 sponsorship packages were given to 2 orphans until they turn 18, worth 55 million VND.

The program's organizers also presented a "Border Shelter" house worth 70 million VND to Mr. Ho Van Rac's family (A Xoc - Cha Ly village, Huong Lap commune) in especially difficult circumstances.
In addition, Huong Lap Border Guard Station also coordinated with the Cardiovascular Center of Hue Central Hospital to organize medical examinations for local people and people from opposite villages of Laos, with more than 500 participants. Organized cultural and artistic exchange programs, wrapped Chung cakes to welcome spring with local people. Organized Tet celebrations with about 200 local people.

The total budget of the program "Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers" Lunar New Year 2025 at Huong Lap Border Guard Station is about 500 million VND. To implement this program, officers and soldiers of Huong Lap Border Guard Station voluntarily contributed from their salaries and allowances and called for contributions from kind-hearted organizations and individuals.
