On July 28, Kim Long Commune Police (HCMC) said that they had supported verification and guided people in the area to return the money received due to mistaken transfer to the account holder.
Previously, on July 24, Kim Long Commune Police received a report from Ms. V.T.H about her personal account suddenly receiving 18.9 million VND from a strange account, but the content did not show the sender information. After that, Ms. H continued to receive other transactions worth 5,000 VND along with contact phone number information.
However, Ms. H could not determine whether this was information from a mistaken transferor or fraudulent tricks of fraudsters, so she proactively went to Kim Long Commune Police to report and request support.
Through verification, functional agencies determined that this was the case of Ms. V.T.M. D who mistakenly transferred money. After that, Kim Long Commune Police guided and supported contacting and comparing information, then Ms. H returned the full amount of 18.9 million VND to the account holder who mistakenly transferred money.
Previously, Kim Long Commune Police also just supported a case living in the North to receive back the mistaken transfer of 11.65 million VND to the account of a resident in the area.
Through the case, Kim Long Commune Police acknowledged and praised the honesty and responsibility of Ms. V.T.H when she proactively reported, coordinated to verify and fully refunded the money to the mistaken transferee. The beautiful action has contributed to spreading awareness of law compliance, building a civilized and honest behavior culture in financial transactions.

Before confirming a transaction, it is necessary to carefully check the account number, recipient's name and amount of money to minimize mistaken transfers.
