According to the Thanh Hoa Province New Rural Development Program Coordination Office, by the end of June 2025, the whole province has 15 district-level units (old) meeting the standards and completing the task of building new rural areas (NTM); 374/449 old communes and 831 mountainous villages and hamlets meeting NTM standards; 4 old districts, 125 old communes meeting advanced NTM standards; 33 old communes, 629 villages and hamlets meeting model NTM standards; a total of 645 OCOP products have been recognized.
Thanks to policies from the National Target Program on New Rural Development, people's lives have been constantly improved and enhanced. One of the spearheads in building a new rural area in Thanh Hoa is to focus on restructuring the agricultural sector, developing the rural economy, and increasing people's income in a sustainable manner.
Regarding the key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025, the Thanh Hoa Provincial New Rural Development Program Coordination Office will advise the Provincial People's Committee to prepare the contents and conditions for organizing a conference to summarize the National Target Program on New Rural Development for the period 2021 - 2025; develop a plan to allocate State budget capital to implement the National Target Program on New Rural Development in the province for the period 2026 - 2028 (when there is a document guiding the Department of Finance).
In addition, the Office will coordinate with the Provincial Emulation and Reward Board to synthesize and propose rewards for collectives, individuals, and households with outstanding achievements in the "S contributing to the construction of new rural areas" movement in the period of 2021 - 2025 in the whole province.
