Hon Dat District Police (Kien Giang) has just held the 43rd District Police Conference.
In 2024, the security and order situation in the area was basically stable. The police forces resolutely attacked and suppressed crimes, ensuring security and safety for important political and social events. Staff work helped promptly resolve emerging incidents related to security and order, preventing the formation of "hot spots."
The rate of investigation and discovery of very serious and especially serious cases reached over 90%, contributing to stabilizing the security and order situation. The police force actively patrolled, controlled and handled violations of the law; strongly fought against drug and environmental crimes; received and resolved denunciations and reports of crimes and recommended prosecution in accordance with regulations.
During the year, the District Police fulfilled 75/78 work targets, investigated and solved 59/67 social order crimes (reaching 88%), solved 11/12 very serious and extremely serious cases (reaching 91.6%), arrested 10 wanted subjects, organized testing for 444 subjects suspected of drug use, discovered 233 positive subjects and administratively sanctioned 152 subjects with a total amount of more than 222 million VND.
Speaking at the conference, Colonel Dao Hai Dang - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department highly appreciated the efforts of Hon Dat District Police, especially the achievements in crime prevention.
He emphasized that many important events will take place in 2025, so the District Police need to improve the quality of professional work, focus on crime prevention and improve the efficiency of professional teams. At the same time, it is necessary to promote propaganda and mobilize people to participate in protecting national security.
Colonel Dao Hai Dang also requested the district police to continue to closely coordinate with local party committees and authorities in launching mass movements to protect national security and ensure social safety for the people.
With the achievements in 2024, the Hon Dat District Police Department was awarded the title "Victory Unit" by the Provincial Police Director.
