Colonel Vu Huu Kiem, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 1, informed about the situation in the East Sea, forecasted the context in the coming time and analyzed the viewpoints, goals, tasks, and solutions in the work of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. The conference helped delegates update current information, raise awareness and responsibility in propagating and fighting against erroneous views, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Quoc Van emphasized that Hung Yen has a 52 km long coastline, 5 large river mouths flowing into the sea and more than 16,000 hectares of tidal beaches, which is a strategic development space for the marine economy, logistics, processing and manufacturing industry associated with seaports.
This is an opportunity for the province to make a breakthrough in the new period. At the same time, the province faces challenges from climate change, coastal erosion, complex coastal management and the task of ensuring national defense and security in coastal areas and river mouths.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to thoroughly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies on seas and islands; promote propaganda and education, especially to young people, students; proactively grasp public opinion, fight against false information, and strengthen people's trust.
Localities synchronously deploy local defense and military tasks; build a solid defense zone; coordinate between forces and people, support forces on duty at sea; maintain security and order in coastal areas, river mouths, and tidal beaches.
On this occasion, the Naval Region 1 Command presented funding to support the construction of the Great Solidarity House and the House of Love with a total value of 160 million VND to the two communes of Dong Tien Hai and Tien La. The provincial leaders and the Naval Region 1 Command also presented 10 gifts to the province's policy families.
