On the afternoon of January 8, Lam Binh District Party Committee held the 20th expanded Party Executive Committee Conference.
The conference approved the report of the District Party Committee on the results of implementing the socio-economic development tasks in 2024 and the direction for 2025.
In 2024, Lam Binh district completed and exceeded 17/18 set targets. The value of agricultural, forestry and fishery production increased by 6.8%, reaching 445.3 billion VND. Total grain output reached more than 25,000 tons. Of which, rice output exceeded the target by 1.4%. State budget revenue reached 31.4 billion VND, exceeding the assigned estimate by 8.4%.
In 2024, the district welcomed 176,000 visitors, equal to 100.5% of the plan, up 15.7% over the same period. Social revenue from tourism reached 228.8 billion VND, equal to 100% of the plan and up 33.2% over the previous year. Lam Binh district also completed the target of eliminating 470 temporary houses, equal to 117.5% of the plan.
In 2025, Lam Binh district has set out 6 key tasks and 18 main targets such as attracting over 200,000 tourists, social revenue from tourism reaching 334 billion VND. Total retail sales of goods reaching 2,280 billion VND, budget revenue in the area reaching 32 billion VND. Average income per capita reaching over 47 million VND/person/year. Striving to reduce the poverty rate by 6.76%, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for over 830 households.
The poorest district of Tuyen Quang province
Lam Binh was established in early 2011. This is the district with the highest poverty rate in Tuyen Quang province at 40.93% (at the end of 2023). Lam Binh district was approved by the Government as one of 74 poor districts according to Decision No. 353/QD-TTg dated March 15, 2022.
In 2023, Lam Binh district's budget revenue will reach 25.75 billion VND. Budget revenue in 2024 will be more than 31 billion VND.
