On July 18, at Tran Van On Primary and Secondary School (Dong Gia Nghia ward), the Department of Health of Lam Dong province coordinated with the Provincial Young Physicians Association and a sponsor unit to organize the program "Health Journey for a Healthy Vietnam", towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026).
The program mobilized 25 doctors and more than 100 technicians, medical staff and volunteers to examine patients, provide health advice, stroke screening, and distribute free medicine to more than 1,000 people.
The organizers also presented gifts to policy families and students in difficult circumstances in the area.
Specialist Doctor II Huynh Thanh Huynh - Deputy Director of the Department of Health, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Young Doctors Association - said that the program contributes to implementing the policy of improving the quality of people's health care.
From 2026, people will have periodic health check-ups or free screenings at least once a year, and will also be issued electronic health records to manage health according to the life cycle.
Currently, the Lam Dong Health sector is gradually deploying universal health check-ups, updating data and connecting electronic health records on the VNeID application, aiming to manage people's health synchronously and conveniently.
In addition to general examinations, people are also advised on preventing common diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, bone and joint disease, digestive disorders; and are guided to recognize early signs of stroke for timely treatment.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented 5 gifts, each worth 2 million VND, to policy families in difficult circumstances and donated 5 bicycles, worth 1.5 million VND each, to students who overcame difficulties and studied well.
According to the Organizing Committee, the program not only helps people access health services right in their localities, detect diseases early, but also contributes to raising awareness about health care; and at the same time promotes the effectiveness of socialization in the field of health and social security work.
