It is known that the Buddhist art composition contest "Shining the Way in Life 2026" is officially launched by the Central Cultural Committee - Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.
The contest is organized to encourage musicians, artists and art lovers to create works inspired by Buddhist teachings, contributing to spreading the good values of wisdom and compassion in modern life.
Through the contest, the organizers wish to find and honor works of art with humanistic value, reflecting the Buddhist spirit associated with national culture, and at the same time create more creative space for artists in bringing the Buddhist spirit closer to the public.
The special feature of this year's competition is organized with many categories such as literary scripts, music, architecture and fine arts of Vietnamese Buddhist festivals. Typical works from the competition will also be selected to be performed in Buddhist art programs and cultural events in the near future.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Venerable Thich Tho Lac - Head of the Central Cultural Committee - Vietnam Buddhist Sangha said that the doctrine of the Buddha with core values such as compassion, wisdom, altruism and selflessness - has deeply penetrated the cultural life, ethics and lifestyle of Vietnamese people. Therefore, preserving and promoting Buddhist cultural values is also contributing to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity.
Also on this occasion, the Central Cultural Committee - Vietnam Buddhist Sangha also introduced the album "Days of Peace - Meditation with Buddhist Sutras" - familiar sutras completely adapted into Vietnamese, performed by singer Ho Quynh Huong.
The album includes familiar and valuable sutras in Buddhism such as: the Transcendental Lotus Sutra, the Lotus Sutra, the Eight Great Human Sentiments Sutra, the Compassionate Sutra, the Earth Bodhisattva Sutra, the Four Luminous Emperors Sutra, the Ling Yan Sutra, the Golden Gang Sutra and the Eight Hearts Sutra.
The organizers also hope that the sutras in the album "Nhung Ngay Yen - Tinh Tam Cung Kinh Phat" will become a gentle companion in each person's spiritual life - bringing a little silence, a little light and a little peace, so that every day that passes we can live more gently, wisely and lovingly.
