On the morning of July 24, Duc Trong Commune Party Committee (Lam Dong Province) held the 1st Commune Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
The congress was attended by 199 delegates from 87 Party organizations, representing 1998 Party members of the Duc Trong Commune Party Committee.
Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Tran Trung Hieu - Secretary of the Duc Trong Commune Party Committee - said that most of the targets on economy, society, national defense, security, Party building and the political system in the past term have been completed. Of which, 10/11 main targets were achieved and exceeded the set plan.
High-tech agriculture continues to grow strongly with an area of 5,328 hectares. The whole commune has 22 OCOP products and 7 products with the brand name "Da Lat - Ministry of Science and Technology from the Good Land" recognized. Phu Hoi Industrial Park is currently attracting 32 investment projects with a total registered capital of more than VND 2,247 billion.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - emphasized: Duc Trong Commune was established on the basis of merging Lien Nghia Town and Phu Hoi Commune.
This is a new administrative unit but has many advantages, especially the inheritance of the entire technical and administrative infrastructure system from the old political center of Duc Trong district - a solid foundation for the commune to develop in the new period.
Mr. Tran Hong Thai also acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of the commune have achieved in recent times.
In particular, the spirit of solidarity, unity and outstanding efforts of cadres, party members and people of Lien Nghia and Phu Hoi localities during the merger process have contributed to maintaining the stable and effective operation of the government apparatus.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, he suggested that the Commune Party Committee focus on implementing a number of key tasks. In particular, priority is given to stabilizing the organization, building a strong unity bloc.
The commune also needs to perfect the entire government apparatus in the direction of streamlining, operating effectively and efficiently, best serving people and businesses right from the first days after the merger.
Mr. Tran Hong Thai noted that Duc Trong commune must nurture aspiration and sense of responsibility in creating a locality as a driving force for development for the whole region.
With the advantage of technical infrastructure and geographical location, the commune not only develops for itself but also needs to play a leading role in spreading development in the area.
He also suggested that Duc Trong commune strive to soon meet the standards of urban government - a strategic goal, demonstrating the new stature and position of the commune in the coming period.
The 1st Commune Party Congress identified the theme: "Strengthening the building of a clean and strong Party and political system; promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; effectively exploiting resources for economic and social development; preserving the cultural identity of ethnic groups, ensuring national defense and security; determined to build Duc Trong commune for comprehensive and civilized development".
This is the goal to strive for, and a driving force for comprehensive development of the commune for the entire 2025 - 2030 term.
