Lai Chau accelerates bringing national grid electricity to households without electricity

Lai Chau - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directs departments and branches to accelerate the progress of investment in supplying national grid electricity to households without electricity.

On April 9, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to units report on investment in power supply for some households that have not yet used the national grid in the province.

According to the report, the power grid system in the province has a scale of 2,409 km of medium-voltage power lines, 1,452 medium-voltage substations with a total capacity of 254.677kVA, 2,016 km of low-voltage power lines supplying electricity to 38/38 communes and wards, 953/956 villages and hamlets are using national grid electricity.

Currently, there are 344 households that have not used electricity in 11 villages that are being invested in by Lai Chau Power Company to supply electricity from the national grid system.

Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee Ha Quang Trung requested departments and branches to soon bring national grid electricity to households without electricity.

Mr. Trung also requested the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches, and localities to accurately review the number of households in need of support; specifically review each area, develop roadmaps and feasible solutions to deploy and advise on building specific policies for localities.
