On the morning of May 13, the Binh Thanh Ward Red Cross Society organized a launching ceremony for the 2026 Humanitarian Month with the theme "80 years - Journey of compassion for the community", combined with a meeting to celebrate the International Red Cross and Red Crescent. 8. The program aims to continue to spread the tradition of compassion, solidarity, sharing and responsibility for the community among all classes of people in the ward.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Vu Thi Huyen Trang - Chairwoman of the Red Cross Society of Binh Thanh ward - said that in the past time, the unit has made efforts to implement many meaningful activities such as caring for poor households, supporting disadvantaged students, mobilizing voluntary blood donation, supporting vulnerable people and unexpected difficult cases in the area.
Within the framework of the program, the organizing committee presented letters of thanks to collectives, individuals, and philanthropists who have accompanied the humanitarian activities of the ward; awarded livelihood means worth 10 million VND to households in difficult circumstances; awarded 10 scholarships to students overcoming difficulties to study well; awarded 53 gifts to care for people who voluntarily donate blood in difficult circumstances. These gifts and gestures full of humanity have contributed to widely spreading the message of love and sharing in the community.
Through the Humanitarian Month 2026, the Red Cross Society of Binh Thanh Ward continues to call on officials, members, union members, businesses, philanthropists and all people to join hands in carrying out charity activities, caring for vulnerable people with practical actions.
Thereby, contributing to building the great national unity bloc, building Binh Thanh ward to become increasingly civilized, compassionate, and develop sustainably, for the happiness of the people.
