On June 30 and July 1, the Border Guard Command of Lao Cai province coordinated with the Department of Justice and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize propaganda on laws, foreign information and the "Digital People's Education" movement for officials and people of Pha Long border commune.
The program was implemented in coordination with Pha Long Border Guard Station, Ta Gia Khau Border Guard Station and local authorities, attracting a large number of ethnic minorities to participate.
Lao Cai border area has a large area, dispersed population, and limited access to information. Therefore, the work of disseminating and educating laws has always been identified by the Border Guard force as a key task to raise awareness and contribute to maintaining security and order in the border area.
At the propaganda session, people were disseminated many practical contents such as three legal documents on borders, the National Border Law, the Law on Marriage and Family, domestic violence prevention, social evils prevention, harmful effects of early marriage and consanguineous marriage.
The reporters also propagated and warned about the tricks of human trafficking, smuggling and acts of taking advantage of ethnic and religious issues to divide the great national unity bloc, and at the same time guided people to raise vigilance against the methods and tricks of transnational crime.
The highlight of the program is the content of propaganda for the "Digital Education for All" movement.
People are guided to use smartphones, the internet safely, identify forms of online fraud and equip themselves with basic digital skills to protect themselves from risks in the digital environment.
According to the Command of the Lao Cai Provincial Border Guard, propaganda activities are proof of the effectiveness of coordination between the border guard force and specialized agencies and local authorities.
The combination of legal knowledge, appropriate communication methods and the understanding of the area of the border guard force has helped the propaganda content become closer and easier to access for people in highland and border areas.
Thereby, contributing to building awareness of law compliance, improving digital skills for people, and gradually forming a sustainable legal propaganda network in the Lao Cai border area.
