On the afternoon of November 6, Lao Cai Provincial Library organized a 2025 Readers' Conference and an exchange program for local authors and literary works.
The conference was attended by representatives of leaders of departments, branches, artists, local literary authors and many regular readers of the library.
At the conference, the Provincial Library summarized and evaluated the results of activities to serve readers in 2025; at the same time, proposed directions and solutions for the coming period.
In addition to on-site service activities, the library continues to promote activities outside the library, especially the Mobile Library project "Light of Knowledge" serving at many schools, communes and wards in the province.
Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Dong Thi Hong Hanh - Director of Lao Cai Provincial Library said: "The conference is an opportunity to summarize the activities of the library in the past year, and at the same time an opportunity for units to exchange, share experiences and propose practical solutions to improve the quality of library activities in the coming time".
Here, delegates discussed and contributed many opinions on coordinating activities between units and improving the efficiency of serving readers.
Many practical proposals were noted, such as expanding mobile reading points, diversifying document sources and applying digital technology in library management.
The Provincial Library leadership received and answered directly at the conference and said that it will develop a specific action program to innovate and be more creative in service work, contributing to the development of reading culture in the locality.
In particular, the exchange program between readers and local writers and artists has brought a vibrant and close atmosphere. The authors shared about the writing process, introducing new works about the people and land of Lao Cai, spreading the love of literature in the community.
On this occasion, Lao Cai Provincial Library also commended and rewarded outstanding individuals and groups of readers who have made positive contributions to the development of reading culture in 2025.
