The logo design contest of Lao Cai province was launched from December 15, 2025 to May 31, 2026, attracting the participation of authors from many provinces and cities across the country.
After the launching period, the Organizing Committee received 373 works by 137 authors from 24 provinces and cities.
The works are selected by the Arts Council through 5 rounds with the requirement of impartiality, rigor, ensuring the selection of highly generalized plans, reflecting the characteristic values of history, culture, people and development orientation of Lao Cai province.
Based on the results of the judging, the Standing Committee of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee unanimously selected the work code 01 as the province's symbol (logo) to continue completing.
To promote the people's right to mastery, and at the same time mobilize the intelligence and contributions of the community before completing the official symbol design, Lao Cai province organizes a widespread public opinion collection for the work code 01.
The time for taking opinions starts from September 5th to the end of September 12th, 2026.
According to Lao Cai province, people's contributions are an important basis for functional agencies to receive, study and complete the symbol design before official use.

The widespread consultation is expected to help the logo model of Lao Cai province continue to be completed, ensuring aesthetics, recognition and conveying the characteristics of the land, culture and people of Lao Cai.
This is also an opportunity for people to directly contribute opinions to a common symbol of the locality, thereby promoting consensus and community wisdom in the process of building the image and brand of Lao Cai province.
