In Rach Gia city, the provincial delegation led by Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Luu Trung visited and congratulated the Provincial Association of Patriotic Monks and Nuns, Lang Cat Pagoda and Thon Don Pagoda.
At the places he visited, Mr. Nguyen Luu Trung kindly visited and wished the dignitaries, priests, monks, and prestigious people among the Khmer people a happy and warm Sene Dolta (ancestor worship ceremony) in 2024.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, in recent years, the Party Committees and authorities of Kien Giang province have created all conditions for the Khmer ethnic people to preserve and promote their traditional and cultural values. Despite many difficulties, the Party Committees and authorities in the province have devoted resources to investing in and renovating the religious and belief works of ethnic people; promptly implementing policies on ethnic affairs, contributing to improving people's lives.
Mr. Nguyen Luu Trung respectfully acknowledged and commended the dignitaries, monks, abbots of pagodas, Buddhists, and Khmer people for their many contributions to the innovation and general development of the province, contributing to stabilizing political security, order, and social safety.
At the same time, we hope that monks, dignitaries, monks, abbots of pagodas, Buddhists, and Khmer people will continue to promote the tradition of patriotism and solidarity, strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State, and actively carry out emulation movements.
In Ha Tien City, Colonel Nguyen Van Han - Director of the Provincial Police, Head of the working delegation visited and presented gifts to Xa Xia Pagoda and Mui Nai Pagoda.
In a joyful atmosphere, he kindly asked about the health of the monks, abbots, venerable monks, and Khmer Buddhists living and working in the city.
At the same time, the Provincial Police Director also commended the efforts of monks and Khmer people who have united and joined hands with the local government and people to develop production, build their homeland, and well implement the Party's policies and the State's laws.
