The patriotic emulation movement benefits VICEM with 854 billion VND

Promoting patriotic emulation, associated with the task of production and business is the action orientation of Vietnam Cement Corporation (VICEM) for the 2025-2030 term.

On July 29, speaking at the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress, 2025-2030, Mr. Hoang Quoc Viet - Chairman of the Board of Members, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of VICEM Corporation - affirmed that the patriotic emulation movement is an important driving force to realize the development strategy until 2030.

According to Mr. Viet, VICEM needs to focus on promoting a number of key emulation movements such as: comprehensive digital transformation from production management, factory operations to logistics and distribution; improving management capacity, innovating the state-owned enterprise governance model in a modern, transparent and efficient direction.

In particular, VICEM will strongly develop the "green cement - carbon-reducing cement" movement, focusing on energy saving, reducing CO2 emissions and using raw materials effectively. At the same time, focus on competing to build a team of cadres who are "both rosy and specialized", courageous, and aspirational to contribute and master technology.

Entering a new development stage, VICEM determined that it is still facing many difficulties and challenges. I call on all cadres, party members, and workers in the Corporation to promote the tradition of solidarity and unity, promote patriotic emulation movements associated with the successful implementation of the task of production - business, technological innovation, improving product quality, protecting the environment for the sustainable development of VICEM, contributing to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, Mr. Viet emphasized.

Mr. Ngo Duc Luu - Acting General Director of VICEM Corporation - said that in the period of 2020 - 2025, patriotic emulation movements have become a great driving force, contributing to the completion of political and production - business tasks, affirming the role of the cement industry in the country's economy.

Some outstanding results were recorded: clinker production output reached 96 million tons; cement output reached 114.9 million tons; total consumption output reached 132.7 million tons (of which, cement consumption was 114.8 million tons, clinker was 17.8 million tons). Total revenue of the Corporation reached VND 165,131 billion; pre-tax profit reached VND 3,996 billion; paid to the State budget VND 8,925 billion. The average income of workers is over 17.4 million VND/person/month.

In addition to movements associated with production and business tasks, VICEM also actively responds to the "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring labor safety" movements, activities launched by the Government and the Ministry of Construction, as well as participating in social - charity programs.

From the patriotic emulation movement in the period of 20202025, many typical advanced collectives and individuals have appeared, becoming shining examples of responsibility, the will to overcome difficulties, innovate, be creative, and make practical contributions to the development of VICEM. Many collectives and individuals have been honored to be awarded emulation titles and forms of commendation by the Ministry of Construction and the State.

At the Congress, VICEM officially launched the patriotic emulation movement for the 2025-2030 period with specific goals: 16% increase in production and consumption; revenue exceeds 20%; pre-tax profit increases by over 200%; average income increases by over 5% per year; fully fulfills its obligations to pay the State budget.

The Corporation determined to continue to stay close to the market, improve forecasting capacity, expand domestic market share and export stably and effectively. At the same time, promote investment to improve production capacity, renovate production lines, apply advanced technology, affirm the role of state-owned enterprises in efficiency, technology, environment and social responsibility.

In addition, care for improving the material and spiritual life and working conditions of workers; building a corporate culture associated with emulation movements "Good and creative workers", "Green - clean - beautiful, safe, economical", towards sustainable development.
