On April 8, a working delegation of the Military Region 9 Command led by Colonel Nguyen Truong Giang - Head of the Military Region's Mass Mobilization Department - visited and presented gifts to congratulate the traditional New Year of Chol Cham Thmay to pagodas in Kien Giang province.
The delegation visited and presented gifts to Nha Si Cu pagodas in Vinh Phu commune, Giong Rieng district; Ca Nhung pagoda, Dinh Hoa commune, Go Quao district and Lang Cat pagoda, Vinh Lac ward, Rach Gia city. At the pagodas visited and wished a happy New Year, Colonel Nguyen Truong Giang sent his condolences and congratulations to all monks, exemplary families and Khmer people who celebrate the traditional New Year happily, warmly, unitedly and happily.
He also announced some information about the socio -economic development situation, the outstanding results that the armed forces of Military Region 9 as well as Kien Giang province have achieved in the performance of military and defense tasks in the first months of 2025. The highlight is the implementation of the model of the New Year to celebrate the celebration of Thmay, thereby contributing to building a new countryside, improving the life of the Khmer people and tightening the united people.
