Quang Ninh - The Golden Rooster Ceremony of the Thanh Y Dao people will be honored at the Song Mun 2025 festival in Quang Duc commune, Hai Ha district from March 1 to 2, 2025.

Previously, on December 10, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 3976/QD-BVHTTDL on promulgating the Social habits and Beliefs of the Thanh Y Dao ethnic People's Cultural Heritage Ceremony in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

The Dao Thanh Y people live mainly in Ha Long, Uong Bi, Ba Che, Tien Yen, Binh Lieu, Dam Ha, Hai Ha and Mong Cai, Quang Ninh province.

Quang Ninh currently has 73,591 Dao people, accounting for 5.57% of the province's population, of which the Dao Thanh Y people account for 2.7% of the population.

For Thanh Y Dao people, the Promise Ceremony is an indispensable ritual in the life of a man, marking maturity and affirming position in the nation and community.

The Accomplishment Ceremony, also known as the Nam am Ceremony, has the Chinese name Dao Thanh Y as "The burning fire of the dead".

The ceremony usually lasts for 7 days, taking place at the homes of priests and families of people with distincts.
