An Giang - Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat continues to be elected as Head of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha for the 6th term (2024 - 2029).

After 2 working days, the 6th Congress of Hoa Hao Buddhist followers at the national level, term 2024-2029, held in Phu Tan district (An Giang) successfully ended.

Deputy Head of the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization Do Van Phoi; Head of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vu Hoai Bac; Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung, along with representatives of the Ministry of Public Security, the Military Region 9 Command and nearly 890 delegates representing over 1.5 million Hoa Hao Buddhists in localities across the country attended the congress.

During the 2019 - 2024 term, the Central Executive Committee of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha has many activities that are good for life and religion. Notably, the charity and social activities reached nearly 2,500 billion VND. Of which, repairing and building new houses of Love and Great Solidarity with an amount of nearly 327 billion VND; repairing and building new rural bridges with an amount of more than 546 billion VND; supporting the "Spring Tree" Fund with nearly 31 billion VND; Charity Kitchen with more than 523 billion VND; giving gifts to the poor with over 326 billion VND; herbal medicine with more than 132 billion VND; supporting poor patients with more than 84 billion VND...

With the spirit of "Solidarity, Discipline, Efficiency, Accompanying the nation", the congress elected 25 Central Executive Committee members and 5 alternate Central Executive Committee members to join the Central Executive Committee of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha for the 2024 - 2029 term.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat continued to be trusted by the Congress and elected as Head of the Central Executive Committee of the Hoa Hao Buddhist Sangha for the 6th term (2024 - 2029).
