On October 30, according to statistics from the Ea Kiet Commune Military Command (Dak Lak), in the recent preliminary round of military service selection, 18 young volunteers wrote applications to join the army. Most of them are the main breadwinners in the family, and life is still difficult. However, they are still willing to put their work on hold, hoping to contribute their youth to the Fatherland, realizing their dream of wearing the army jersey.
For example, Y Li vun M'Jau (born in 2006, wing village, Ea Kiet commune). The second child in a family of 5 brothers. After finishing grade 9, Y Li vun M'Jau dropped out of school to help his parents with farming, becoming the main breadwinner in the family. However, as soon as he was old enough, Y Li vun M'Jau voluntarily applied for military service.
Y Li vun M'Jau shared that he has recently been propagandized by local officials. I also realized that I need to contribute my strength to the country, and at the same time want to practice and mature more in the military environment.

Y Din Mlo (born in 2007, wing village, Ea Kiet commune) is also one of the young volunteers who wrote an application for military service.
Young man Y Din Mlo has had a dream of wearing a military uniform since he was a child. As the son of one farming family, Y Din Mlo dropped out of school in grade 10 to help his parents in the fields.
In recent years, although life has been full of hardships, the image of a soldier in the young man's mind has always been a symbol of courage and pride.
Ms. H'Nhon Mlo, Y Dinh Mlo's mother, emotionally shared: "Since I was a child, my child has wanted to join the army. Although the family is in difficulty, my husband and I all support it, just hoping that my child can fulfill his dream and be trained to become more mature."
According to Mr. Y Mluon Mlo, Deputy Commander of the Ea Kiet Commune Military Command, in 2026, the locality plans to have 25 young men join the army.
In the recent preliminary examination, more than 100 young people participated, of which 18 people voluntarily wrote applications. Although many young people in the commune still face many difficulties in life, their voluntary spirit of writing their military application is truly appreciated.
"We always care, encourage and create the best conditions for them to feel secure in their journey, to fulfill their sacred duty to the Fatherland," Mr. Y Mluon Mlo shared.
Ea Kiet is a remote commune of Dak Lak province, where many ethnic minorities live. Despite many difficulties in life, people still support and create all conditions for their children to fulfill their sacred obligations to the Party, State and people.
The handwritten petitions of the guys in the remote areas of Ea Kiet not only sent their dreams of wearing military uniforms, but also a beautiful symbol of patriotism and the spirit of voluntary dedication.
That is the generation of Dak Lak youth today - those who are ready to follow in the footsteps of their father's tradition, "When the Fatherland needs it, the youth is ready to set out".
