On June 23, in To Hieu ward, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Son La province coordinated with relevant units to organize the 14th "Red Journey" Program in 2026 with the message "Son La - One drop of blood - Millions of beliefs".
Immediately after the opening ceremony, a large number of officials, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, youth union members and people in the area participated in voluntary blood donation.
According to the Organizing Committee, 1,885 people have registered to participate in blood donation. As a result, the program has successfully received 1,044 safe and quality blood units, supplementing blood sources to serve emergency and treatment for patients.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented 20 gifts to policy families, poor households, and vulnerable people in Son La province.
Red Journey" is a large-scale voluntary blood donation program held annually to raise community awareness about the meaning of blood donation to save lives, and at the same time contribute to overcoming the situation of blood shortage for treatment, especially during the summer.
According to the plan, the program in Son La will continue until the end of June 25 in the Mai Son and Phu Yen areas. The program aims to mobilize about 3,000 people to register for blood donation and receive about 2,000 units of blood.
