On August 2nd, Economic - National Defense Team 726 (Corps 16) in coordination with the Red Heart Charity Group (HCMC) organized the program "Giving warm clothes - sending love".
The program aims to support students and families in difficult circumstances in two border communes Tuy Duc and Quang Truc (Lam Dong province).
At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 208 gifts and 40 bicycles to students in difficult circumstances, contributing to adding motivation for them to enter the new school year.
In addition, 176 households were supported with essential necessities including rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, MSG... The total value of gifts is nearly 180 million VND.
Mr. Luu Dinh Long - representative of the Red Heart Charity Group - said that the program is the affection of philanthropists for students and people in border areas.
Through this, we want to contribute to sharing difficulties and adding motivation for them to rise up in their studies and life.
Colonel Nguyen Van Hue - Head of Economic - National Defense Team 726, thanked the Red Heart Charity Group and philanthropists for accompanying the unit in social security activities in the border area.
According to Colonel Nguyen Van Hue, the gifts not only provide practical support for the people but also contribute to spreading the spirit of compassion, strengthening military-civilian solidarity, and building a solid people's heart formation at the border.
At the same time, the unit hopes to continue to receive the companionship of organizations, businesses and philanthropists to implement more meaningful activities towards people in border areas.
