On November 20, in the border commune of Quang Truc (Lam Dong), Regiment 726 (Army Corps 16) held a launching ceremony for the "Acceleration, Breakthrough" emulation campaign to successfully complete the goals and tasks to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the Army's Traditional Day (December 8, 1998 - December 8, 2025).
The launching ceremony also marks the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026); and welcomes the 14th National Party Congress. The emulation period will take place from November 20, 2025 to January 31, 2026.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hue - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Regiment Commander - chaired the ceremony.
During the emulation period, agencies, hospitals and production teams signed emulation agreements with many key contents.
In which, it emphasized the promotion of propaganda and education about the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the significance of the 14th Congress; the historical value of the First National Assembly General Election; the patriotism and revolutionary tradition of the army and people; the development process, maturity and achievements of the 16th Corps over the past 27 years.
The Regiment Commander requested the entire unit to organize learning and dissemination to raise awareness, unify will and action; improve combat readiness quality, maintain training in plans, proactively forecast - advise - handle situations well.
In addition, the unit continues to support people in natural disaster prevention, search and rescue; perform well the task of production - business, take good care of gardens, improve the efficiency of operation and management of materials and products, associated with ensuring jobs, income, material - spiritual life for workers.
The Regiment also requested agencies and units to step up propaganda about the 14th National Party Congress; organize activities to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the founding of the Corps; 81 years of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army; 36 years of the National Defense Day; 80 years of the first general election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam.
At the same time, coordinate to effectively implement gratitude activities and military rear policies.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hue emphasized the requirement to organize and implement the emulation campaign seriously and closely, ensuring that the movement brings practical results, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive unit, and successfully completing assigned tasks.
On the same afternoon, the Party Committee of Regiment 726 held a ceremony to award the 30-year Party membership badge to Party member Tran Van Tam - Deputy Captain of Production Team 5, working at the Production Team 5 Party Cell.
