On December 23, Binh Nghi Border Guard Station (Lang Son Border Guard) coordinated with the Bao Tuong Area Border Guard Reunion and Talks Station (China People's Liberation Army) to conduct a joint patrol on the Vietnam - China border.
Forces from both sides patrol and inspect the area from boundary markers 1028/2 to 1032.

Through inspection, the border marker system was kept intact, no signs of encroachment or violations of agreements and arrangements on border management on the mainland of Vietnam - China were detected.
During the patrol, the two sides exchanged information on the security and order situation in the border area; agreed to strengthen coordination in border management and protection; promote the prevention and combat of all types of crimes, especially smuggling, illegal entry and exit and other violations of the law.
Bilateral patrols aim to effectively implement legal documents on the border, contributing to maintaining territorial sovereignty, ensuring security and order in the border area; at the same time, enhancing cooperation, friendship, understanding and trust between the Vietnam - China border protection forces.
