On July 24, the Party Committee of Hoa Phu commune, Dak Lak province held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025 - 2030 term.
Hoa Phu is one of the first communes in Dak Lak province to hold a congress after the process of streamlining the apparatus and building a two-level local government.
The commune was established on the basis of merging three communes: Hoa Phu, Hoa Khanh and Hoa Xuan, with a natural area of over 109km2 and a population of nearly 50,000 people. This is the largest commune after being separated from the old Buon Ma Thuot city.
The Hoa Phu Commune Party Committee currently has 65 affiliated Party organizations with a total of nearly 1,000 Party members.
In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Commune Party Committee has achieved many important results in many fields. The economy has grown quite well, the economic sector structure has shifted positively. Notably, the commune has completed 19/19 criteria for building advanced new rural areas by the end of 2024.
From a commune with an economy mainly dependent on agriculture, in the new term, the Hoa Phu Commune Party Committee has determined to promote the shift in economic structure towards industry - construction, services.
This will be a solid foundation for the commune to strive to become an industrial city by 2035.
With strategic orientations and solutions for the development of industry, services, and high-tech agriculture, in the coming term, the commune aims to gradually reduce dependence on the provincial and central budgets, towards budget autonomy.
Mr. Nguyen The Hau - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Phu commune - said: "In the coming term, we will make the most of the advantages of large natural areas, favorable geographical locations, many natural landscapes... to invest in transport infrastructure and logistics centers.
The commune will also focus on developing eco-tourism, agricultural processing industry... to become the growth driver of Dak Lak province".
Mr. Pham Tien Hung - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hoa Phu commune - said that the biggest difficulty at present is how to build a locality with sustainable socio-economic development, being able to balance the budget revenue and expenditure and contributing responsibly to the province in synchronously developing key areas.
Clearly identifying the challenges facing, the locality will promote economic restructuring, striving to have clear changes in the appearance of infrastructure and people's lives in the next 5 years.
"The Party Committee and the commune government do not follow the slogan but evaluate the effectiveness by specific numbers and substantial changes in people's lives. Thereby, affirming that the policy of building a two-level local government of the Central Government is correct, wise and effective, Mr. Tien Hung emphasized.
Previously, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee announced the decision to appoint the Hoa Phu Commune Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 27 people, and the Standing Committee of 10 people.
Mr. Pham Tien Hung was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Commune Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen The Hau held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee.
