On November 15, a representative of the People's Committee of Ngoc Linh commune (Quang Ngai province) said that a fire had just occurred in the commune, burning down 2 houses of people.
At about 8:30 a.m. on November 15, a fire broke out at the house of Mr. A Teo (a household with 2 people) in Tu Dop village, Ngoc Linh commune.
Due to the strong winds at the time of the fire, the fire quickly spread to Mr. A Pu's house (born in 1998, household with 4 members).
Both houses were made of wood, so the fire broke out, completely burning down all of the property, including personal documents, money, food and household items of the two families.
Immediately after receiving the information, the People's Committee of the commune mobilized police and militia forces to support extinguishing the fire, preventing it from spreading to neighboring houses.
At the same time, the locality has arranged temporary accommodation and essential necessities to support the two households to stabilize their lives in the immediate future. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the authorities.
During the recent flood, Ngoc Linh commune experienced landslides that affected the economic and social lives of thousands of households.
More than 200 officers and soldiers of the 24th Regiment, Division 10 (Army Corps4) and the militia and self-defense forces of the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command mobilized vehicles and motor vehicles to Ngoc Linh commune to participate in overcoming the consequences.
