Female frontline officer with over 10 years of volunteering in Phu Quoc

Kien Giang - Ms. Giang is not only passionate about the movements of the Front but also devoted to charity work in Phu Quoc.

In 1995, Ms. Vo Thi Tra Giang started working in Duong Dong Ward, Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang) and held many different positions. From 2013 to present, she is the Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Duong Dong Ward, Phu Quoc City.

With more than 10 years of working for the front, Ms. Giang always keeps in mind the need to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style to apply to her work.

Ms. Giang shared that she really appreciates Uncle Ho's teachings, that if you are good at mass mobilization, everything will be successful and that she learns from Uncle Ho's kindness, spirit of solidarity, and mutual support in the community.

Ms. Giang advised the Party Committee to coordinate with members and the Neighborhood Front Working Committee to mobilize contributions to build and repair houses for poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in the area (over 40 Great Solidarity houses); 60 tons of rice, 10,000 notebooks, pens and other necessities, with a total value of over 25 billion VND.

Coordinated with the people to build roads in residential areas with the motto of the State and the people working together, resulting in the construction of 37 routes, with a length of more than 6km. The total construction cost was more than 10.2 billion VND, of which the people contributed more than 5.1 billion VND.

Ms. Giang shared: “When I see many difficult situations, I feel very sympathetic and from there I am urged to find a way to call for funds to help them overcome their difficulties. Helping these households have a better life, seeing them happy makes me happy too. That is also the motivation for me to do this social work.”

Her sincerity, responsibility, enthusiasm, and active mobilization of people to participate in movements have helped her do a good job of gathering great national unity, contributing to the economic and social development of the locality.

Ms. Giang shared: “As a cadre working for the Front, we must be exemplary, act according to our words, and always put the interests of the community first. Only then will the propaganda and mobilization be effective, and people will trust and follow.”

Mr. Mai Huu Kich - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Quoc City - commented: "Ms. Giang has been involved in the mass mobilization work of the front for many years, not only enthusiastically leading and operating in the mass mobilization system and the front of the ward, but also diligently researching to help the Party Committee do a good job of social security in the recent past. Although she is a woman, she is very enthusiastic in her work, not afraid of difficulties. Her sympathy and sharing with the less fortunate, her dedication to the movements of the Front have contributed to improving the quality of local movement activities."

With outstanding achievements, Ms. Giang was honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for her outstanding achievements in the work of the Front in the period of 2017-2022, a commemorative medal "For the cause of great national unity" and many certificates of merit from various levels of commendation.
