On April 11 (the 24th of the 2nd year of Binh Ngo), Venerable Thich Thien Thong, abbot of Lien Tri Pagoda (HCMC) and Buddhist followers organized a charity trip, giving gifts to people in difficult circumstances in Lam Dong province.

At the first stop at Thanh Son Pagoda (Di Linh commune), the delegation visited and presented 150 gifts to ethnic minorities facing difficulties. Next, the delegation moved to Nguyen Khong Monastery (Duc Trong commune) to give 50 gifts to orphans being cared for and nurtured here.
In the afternoon of the same day, the journey of compassion continued to spread to the Association of the Blind in Da Lat. Here, the abbot and Buddhists presented 150 gifts to share and encourage visually impaired people to have more strength to rise up in life.

The total budget for this charity trip is about 200 million VND. This is an annual activity of Lien Tri Pagoda, showing the compassionate spirit of Buddhism and compassionate gestures, contributing to the community to well implement social security work in remote and isolated areas.
