On the occasion of the 2026 Doan Ngo Tet, from June 15, the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center organizes a thematic exhibition "Tet Doan Ngo past and present" in the central area of Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

With elaborate preparation, the space offers people and tourists the opportunity to experience and explore the unique customs of Doan Ngo Tet in folk life and ancient Thang Long royal court.

Excited to visit the display area, Ms. Tong Thi Thao Van (Dong Da ward, Hanoi), shared: "Previously, I only knew about Doan Ngo Tet through buying offerings in the family, but never experienced the atmosphere of the old days. I also don't know what offerings our ancestors offered in the past, how the offering trays were arranged, or what typical folk customs there were. Therefore, when I came here, witnessing the display space with my own eyes, I felt more clearly and found this a very valuable experience.

Not stopping at sightseeing, the public also spends time learning about traditional customs. From worship and cuisine customs; picking herbs for tea and medicine to wearing five-color amulet bags... all are vividly recreated, helping young people touch the memories of their ancestors in a realistic way.

Friend Phuong Thao (Van Mieu Ward - Quoc Tu Giam, Hanoi) said that every year, the family arranges offering trays on Doan Ngo Tet. However, only by coming here, do you understand the deep meaning of each offering.

The exhibition space gives me a very cozy feeling. After visiting, I was particularly impressed with the custom of wearing five-color amulet bags," said Phuong Thao.

Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Tam (Dong Da ward, Hanoi), expressed: "The space here is imbued with traditional identity. Through the display booths, I understand more that Doan Ngo Tet is not only simply associated with the custom of "killing insects", but also conveys the methods of protecting the health of previous generations.
