In the flow of the creative economy, the Vietnamese art market is witnessing strong but also challenging transformations.
Recently, at the Sheraton Hotel Hanoi, a contemporary painting auction with the participation of 9 typical young artists took place successfully, leaving many strong imprints in the art community. The event is not only a place for cultural exchange but also affirms the vitality of Vietnamese fine arts in the context of integration.
The event launched 46 unique artworks, undergoing a rigorous selection process to ensure the perfect intersection between top aesthetic values and transparency to introduce to the public. The program is organized by TLink Import-Export Joint Stock Company in coordination with Sao Mai Partnership Auction Company.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Huyen - representative of the Organizing Committee - shared that the core goal of the program is to build a professional "playground", creating a standard art operating environment for Vietnamese artists.
Further, the Organizing Committee orients to bring domestic works to participate in the international auction market, thereby strongly spreading the unique cultural values of the nation and promoting the intersection and integration with world fine arts.

The final results of the auction session recorded unexpected success when all 46 works were successfully sold at high prices.
In particular, the work "Mau Nghi Thien Ha 1" has set a new record when reaching a price of 600 million VND. This is the highest number ever for the traditional Silk painting genre expressed through modern painting language, deeply exploiting the theme of Vietnamese cultural beliefs.
Not only stopping at commercial and artistic values, the auction also has profound social and humanitarian significance. According to the decision from the Organizing Committee and the artists, 50% of the total value collected from the auction will be donated to a charity program to support patients being treated at K Tan Trieu Hospital.
This action has contributed to spreading the spirit of responsibility and sharing of the artist community and collectors towards those in difficult circumstances in society.
The success of an auction is not only measured by sales, but also by the satisfaction and evaluation of those who directly participate. Ms. Dang Minh Anh - a spectator who has participated in many international auctions - commented: "The way the Organizing Committee guides participants, including newcomers, is very professional and dedicated. Bringing international standard procedures into a domestic auction like this is very valuable.
The success of the auction once again affirms the great potential of young artists and the positive transformation of the Vietnamese contemporary art market towards professionalization.
