Three Korean guys, owners of the YouTube channel HanQuocBros, regularly make videos about food, customs, and lifestyle in Vietnam. Among them, Jongrak is the most active with a series of videos searching for cheap to expensive restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City.
Not long ago, Korean guys traveled to Hue for the first time. After Hue beef noodle soup, they went to the famous Ba Do Hue cake shop located on Nguyen Binh Khiem street, Phu Cat ward. They were delighted because the menu had a series of cakes with unique names such as beo, nam, loc, ram it... The Korean guests decided to order a combo of 7 dishes for 330,000 VND to enjoy without missing any of the cakes.

The restaurant serves each type of cake to diners and presents each portion with its own dipping sauce. The transparent tapioca cake clearly shows the shrimp and fried pork fat filling. The flat banh nam is wrapped in banana leaves with minced meat, black fungus, and dried shrimp. The delicious banh beo cup is made with rice flour, pounded shrimp, and crispy pork fat.
Ram it cake, wet rice paper with shrimp paste, and grilled spring rolls were also brought out later. While the ram it cake was both crispy and soft, the wet rice paper with shrimp paste was served with herbs and bean sprouts, and the grilled spring rolls were rolled with pickles and sour star fruit.
The three Korean brothers were surprised by the hot flavor of these Hue dishes, they were impressed by the filling and the chewy, crunchy texture of the banh loc.
The combination of hot food and fish sauce dipping sauces made all three of them praise the deliciousness as they ate one dish after another. Jongrak admitted that the fish sauce here was very different from the Hue restaurants he had eaten at in Ho Chi Minh City.
Hue cakes are also more delicious thanks to the delicious dipping sauce. Each cake has its own dipping sauce.

Jongrak's two brothers, one is very fond of banh beo and nem lui, the other thinks that all dishes are excellent because he feels that "when eating banh loc, banh loc is the best, when eating ram nhi, ram nhi is the best, when eating nem lui, nem lui is the best...".
After eating Hue cakes, the three Korean men thought "If I go back to Korea and miss it, I will cry". The deliciousness of the dishes even gave them the idea of exporting Hue specialties to Korea.
