Hidden in a small alley on Nguyen Huu Huan street, the shop has a rustic appearance with a space imbued with the old Hanoi style.
Opened for sale in 1946, although without elaborate signs or modern design, what tourists remember forever is the special flavor of the fatty, fragrant egg coffee that has existed for 80 years.

Egg coffee is a new type of coffee brewed by mixing eggs and condensed milk into egg cream, putting it on top of the coffee, scooping it up and mixing it well. The cream is thick and smooth. It's like drinking egg cream, and it's a type of coffee with a delicate balance between bitter, sweet and fatty tastes.
Many foreign tourists were surprised when they first enjoyed this unique drink. The foam egg cream layer, blended with the rich coffee flavor, creates a feeling that is both strange and attractive.
Coffee cups are usually placed in a bowl of hot water to keep warm and flavor longer.

I've never drunk a coffee like this. It's more like a dessert than regular coffee" - Ms. Anna, a tourist from Germany, shared after visiting the shop for the first time.
Not only egg coffee, many international diners are also interested in trying dishes such as egg cocoa, egg matcha or egg rum.
Prices ranging from 35,000 - 55,000 VND also make many tourists rate this as a "money-worthy" experience when coming to Hanoi.

In that bustling stream of customers, three guys from Australia said they accidentally saw the small entrance of the restaurant while strolling around the Old Quarter and decided to try it out out out of curiosity.
According to Mr. Sam, a tourist from Sydney, he especially loves old coffee shops or shops "hidden" in small alleys because they always bring a very unique and local feeling.
“We didn't think there would be such an interesting coffee shop inside this small alley. The space here is very special, like an old Hanoi corner preserved over time. I really like this experience and the egg coffee here is also very delicious, fatty but not greasy,” Mr. Sam shared.

Also enjoying egg coffee for the first time, Elena, a tourist from Russia, said that the flavor of this drink surprised her.
I have heard many friends introduce me to Hanoi egg coffee, but when I drank it directly, I clearly felt the difference. The egg cream layer is very soft, smooth, fragrant and blends with the rich coffee flavor. This is definitely one of my most memorable experiences in Vietnam," the female tourist said.

Many foreign tourists spent time during their trip to enjoy the famous egg coffee of Hanoi.
The small space with nostalgia and the spreading aroma of coffee makes this place a favorite stop for many tourists when exploring the ancient town.
