At Yeongcheon Market, Seodaemun Station, Seoul City, there is a Vietnamese restaurant that is very famous with Koreans. The restaurant is called "Vietnamese Pho Market", selling Vietnamese dishes and snacks. The delicious, flavorful preparation and low price make the restaurant very crowded.
Genie, a Korean blogger, with her husband and son visited this Vietnamese pho restaurant in April 2024. She arrived at lunch time, so she had to wait in line to enter the restaurant.
"This seems to be a famous restaurant. I haven't had to wait in line for a long time. A long line is still standing behind us," Genie wrote on his blog.
The restaurant is decorated in Vietnamese style, with lanterns, tables and chairs, and Vietnamese text mixed with Korean. Most of the chefs and staff are Vietnamese.
On the menu, Vietnamese beef pho costs 8,000 won (146,000 VND), spring rolls with 3 rolls cost 8,000 won, grilled pork noodle soup 8,000 won, stir-fried pho 10,000 won (182,000 VND).
Other dishes are more expensive, such as grilled meat for 13,000 won/serving (237,000 VND), pork spring rolls for 13,000 won and stir-fried vermicelli with seafood for 15,000 won (273,000 VND). The shop also has some side dishes such as kimchi, sliced pickled radish, sweet and sour pickled onions, cilantro...
Genie said that a family of 3 ordering 2 bowls of pho is enough to fill them up.
"I can't believe it, a bowl of pho is really filling. The flavor is delicious and light. The broth is delicious and clear, with a lot of meat. Because I like it so much, my child eats it well," blogger Genie shared.
Her family ordered Vietnamese spring rolls to eat with fish sauce and peanut sauce.

GyarrrM, a Korean food and travel blogger, also praised this restaurant after experiencing it. She tried 3 dishes on the menu: spring rolls, beef pho and bun cha.
Just like Genie, GyarrrM was very impressed with the bowl of pho filled with meat. "The bowl is very large and has a lot of meat. I love cilantro so I add more. The meat is cooked soft and delicious, the noodles are fragrant. Adding a little chili sauce on the table is even more delicious," this blogger shared.
