Bringing beautiful memories from Vietnam back home
With only a few hours left to board the flight from Hanoi to the Netherlands to start a new study journey, Mr. Andrei - a tourist from Singapore still took the opportunity to stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, saving his last moments in Vietnam. His trip lasted only 3 days but was enough to capture many unforgettable emotions.
I only have 3 days in Vietnam, including 2 nights in Sa Pa and 1 night in Hanoi. The time is not much but I really find the trip very worthwhile. If I have a few more days, I will definitely explore more places because everything here is very interesting," he shared.
In that short journey, Sa Pa is the destination that Andrei remembers most. As soon as asked about the place that left the most impression, the guest did not hesitate to answer that Sa Pa is a very beautiful land and completely beyond what he had imagined before the trip.
According to him, what makes Sa Pa attractive is not only the cool climate or overlapping mountains, but also the rare peaceful feeling of being immersed in nature and the slow pace of life of the local people. "I really like the feeling in Sa Pa. Everything is peaceful, not too noisy, making me feel relaxed and really not wanting to leave. When I returned to Hanoi to prepare to board the plane, I felt quite nostalgic," he said.
Sa Pa is no less beautiful than famous destinations in the world
Having set foot in 34 countries around the world, Singaporean tourists have quite a lot of experiences to compare about the landscape and culture in each place they have visited.
When asked which are the most beautiful countries, the male tourist said that the US and Switzerland are 2 destinations that leave a deep impression with diverse and majestic natural landscapes. "I really like the US because there are many different types of terrain there. Just drive for about 2 hours to go from the beach to the snow-covered mountains. Switzerland is also very beautiful with majestic nature and wonderful scenery. Those are the two countries that impressed me the most before," he shared.
However, after his first trip to Vietnam, Andrei's views have somewhat changed. The guest believes that Vietnam can completely be in the group of the most beautiful countries he has ever set foot in.
Perhaps Vietnam is in the group of 3 most beautiful countries I have ever been to. The scenery here is very diverse, people are friendly, food is delicious and especially the travel cost is also very reasonable. I really didn't think I would have so many wonderful experiences in just 3 days," he said.
According to the guest, Sa Pa has a very unique beauty that no other place can replace. If the United States is attractive by the diversity of nature, and Switzerland is famous for its majestic mountains and poetic scenery, Sa Pa is memorable for its sea of clouds, terraced fields, villages nestled on the mountainside, and the peaceful rhythm of life of the highland people.
Sa Pa makes me feel very relaxed. I can spend hours just admiring the scenery and enjoying the atmosphere here. That is a very different beauty and I will definitely remember it for a very long time," he expressed.
Nostalgia, promising to return after 10 years
What Singaporean tourists regret most is not having enough time to explore more famous landmarks in the North.
He said that before the trip, he planned to conquer the Ha Giang route, but in the end had to put it aside because this journey needed at least 4 days, while his schedule was only 3 days.
I really want to go to Ha Giang because I have seen many beautiful pictures online. However, that trip took longer, so this time I had to miss it. That is what I regret the most in my trip to Vietnam," he said.
When asked if he would return to Vietnam, the guest smiled but could not hide his regret when mentioning the upcoming plan.
I will definitely come back. However, from September I will start my university program in Amsterdam, Netherlands, so I will not have as much time to travel as before. Perhaps it will be about 10 years before I have the opportunity to return to Vietnam, and then I will return with my family to explore Ha Giang and many other places that I haven't had time to visit this time.
3 days is too short a time to fully explore the beauty of Vietnam. But for the Singaporean visitor, that time has left in him beautiful memories of nature, people and culture here. Before starting a new journey in the Netherlands, what Andrei keeps is not only thousands of photos in his travel collection, but also a promise to return to Vietnam after a decade to continue exploring the land he considers one of the most beautiful destinations he has ever visited.
