Cold air is forecast to spread to the Northern region, mountainous areas are cold, especially at night and early morning.

According to the new weather forecast from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, a cold air mass with strong intensity is about to sweep the North from October 19, causing scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places.

It is forecasted that from around the night of October 20 to October 25, the night and morning will be cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing cold weather. According to the temperature chart for the next 10 days, the lowest temperature in the Northern region will generally be from 21 - 23 degrees Celsius. From October 22, the highest temperature of the day will not exceed 27 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi weather forecast, temperatures start to drop from October 20. From October 21-25, the lowest temperature will be 21-22 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will reach 27 degrees Celsius. The weather will be cloudy, no rain.

The area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai from about October 18 to 21 will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain.

Other areas will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that in November 2025, the common temperature will be about 0.5 degrees Celsius lower than the multi-year average (TBNN), with the North and South Central regions in December 2025 having temperatures at approximately TBNN.

The total rainfall in November 2025 is 10-30% higher than the average, with the Northern mountainous region alone lacking 10-20% compared to the average.

The forecast for the number of storms likely to make landfall from November to April next year is likely to be higher at the TBNN (TBNN: 2.9 storms, 1.1 storms).

Dangerous weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind continue to occur nationwide.

The cold air will be active in December 2025 - January 2026; severe cold may appear from the second half of December 2025.
