Two low pressure areas are active near the East Sea, causing rain in some areas, according to the new weather forecast on March 27.

According to the weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), on March 27, a low pressure area was identified about 220 km east of Hinatuan City, Surigao del Sur Province.

PAGASA meteorologist Chenel Dominguez said the low pressure area has little chance of strengthening into a typhoon, but could still bring rain to some areas in the Visayas and Mindanao.

The weather in the Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and Davao regions will be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms due to the influence of the low pressure area.

Tourists in the Philippines should pay attention to the warning of the risk of flash floods or landslides in these areas due to moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms.

It is currently the dry season (December - May) in the Philippines, but tourists can still experience scattered rains on their travel routes, due to the influence of low pressure and winter winds.

Some areas, especially Visayas, Mindanao, Caraga, Davao, may have heavy rain, thunderstorms, the risk of flash floods and landslides.

Currently, the weather in Vietnam is not affected by the low pressure area near the East Sea. However, due to the influence of cold air, on the afternoon of March 28, the Gulf of Tonkin will have northeast winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 2.0-3.0m high.

On the night of March 28 and March 29, the Gulf of Tonkin will have strong winds of level 6, gusting to level 7-8.

The sea area north of the East Sea will have strong winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 8, waves 3.0-5.0m high, rough seas.

Ships are at high risk of being affected by tornadoes, strong winds and large waves. People and tourists need to be careful if they plan to go out to sea in areas forecast to have strong winds and big waves.
